Ministries
at St. Paul Lutheran Church
Social Ministry
Many concerned members of St. Paul support a variety of programs to relate
the gospel to daily life - improving the human condition and addressing
justice issues for the well-being of people here and throughout the world.
Current programs include:
Lutheran Ministry to Nursing Homes
Ministry to people with AIDS, HIV and cancer at Fairmont Hospital
New St. Paul
Ministering to local hunger needs by participating in dinners for
the homeless
Alternative Christmas

Rebuilding Together Oakland
Rebuilding Together's mission is to preserve and revitalize houses and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners, from the elderly and disabled to families with children, live in warmth, safety, and independence. Each year, St. Paul Lutheran Church joins others and takes on one of these houses. This used to be known as Christmas in April. See photos from these projects from the last several years.
